Prospares WebTech presents “Timor Getaway,” a digital platform to enhance sustainable tourism in Timor-Leste, particularly in Com Village, Lautem Municipality. The platform will feature eco-friendly accommodations, tours, and activities, facilitating online booking and incorporating digital payment systems. It aims to empower local businesses through training in ecotourism and access to financing while promoting local culture and women entrepreneurs. ABIC funding will support community engagement, training, and the platform’s development and testing. In the next six months, Timor Getaway will launch as Timor-Leste’s first digital eco-tourism platform, offering an intuitive booking experience with real-time capabilities. The project will form partnerships with local stakeholders, train at least 10 eco-friendly homestay operators, conduct pilot testing for community feedback, and initiate a marketing campaign to attract eco-conscious travelers. Over the next two years, Timor Getaway aims to become the premier ecotourism platform, covering all 13 municipalities and expanding to include diverse accommodations and transportation services. It will develop curated travel packages and establish partnerships with local hotels, driving revenue for local businesses and promoting sustainable tourism while empowering women and marginalized groups.
